Community Involvement

A Letter To Our Town.

In a town like ours time moves just a little bit slower. But we kinda’ like it that way. We may not have much in the way of nightlife or the fastest internet connection but what we do have we hold dearly. We’re the oldest town in West Virginia. Home to some of the prettiest hills we’ve ever seen. We have hot summers and cold winters but there’s nothing better than this town on a perfect fall day when the leaves are more colorful than a soda fountain. The little road we call “Main Street” continues west nearly 3,000 miles to the Pacific. Every small town has a story.

We feel fortunate to be a part of Romney’s.

Old cars are often a part of our funerals.... most everyone has a memory of an old car

Our family get togethers mean everything

Old houses, friends, front porches... life in a small town has it's perks

Ancestors, family, memories

Dad's and best friends... summer evenings..

Giving back to the community; Scholarships, Hospice, Rotary, Lions Club, Helping Hands, are just a few.... it's fun to share and it's the way things are suppose to be

We're a small business in a small town; we wash our own cars, trim our own shrubs, we do whatever needs doing

A fund raiser raised in excess of $4,000. to purchase a headstone for a man who meant everything to many.  He ran the local Rexall and made countless milkshakes and countless friends.  This was the unveiling before it was installed at the cemetery.

It's not uncommon for us to have an old car in a parade

Not all funerals should look alike.  Saying goodbye to one of Hampshire Counties finest farmers, Veteran and fine man.

It's an honor and a joy to serve on the Board of Hospice of The Panhandle

Ila Shaffer and Carter about 2015... always a Mom, making a hot lunch

A new arrival is a big deal in our family
